Other Ministries and Programs: Be sure to check the current calendar; the scheduling of these activities is sometimes adjusted to accomodate special events.
- Uplifters (Sunday 9:30) A time of prayer, asking God for revival in our congregation and seeking His direction for our minsitries.
- Adult Sunday School (Sunday 9 :45 am, Ed. Building): Each week we consider a biblical passage and discuss its implications for our lives. The lessons are based on the Church of God's "Bridges Curriculum" and led by members of the congregation. This curriculum builds bridges between the ancient texts written thousands of years ago and the lives of people today. Over a cycle of several years, many different parts of the Scriptures are studied.
- Children's Sunday School (Sunday 9 :45 am, Ed. Building): Each week children are taught a passage from the Scriptures and an application for them today. There is also a separate class, taught when needed and based on the maturity and interest of the students, called Kid Faith which leads them in the basics of how God met our need for salvation through Jesus Christ, culminating in asking the students for a decision about whether they would like to become a disciple and be baptized.
- Bible Study (Sunday 7:00 pm, Ed. Building): Pastor Ansley leads a study of scripture or topics of church history and beliefs. Our topic this fall is the book of Revelations.
- Youth Meeting (Sunday 6:30 pm, Ed. Building): Each week Middle and High School students gather for a time of Bible Study and fun. They are led by congregational volunteers who do their best to let the students know they are loved by them and God, and teach them what the Scriptures have to say about issues they are dealing with in school and life. Youth also talk about upcoming opportunities to gather with youth from other local Church of God congregations, as well as State and International gatherings.
- Women of the Church of God (3rd Tues. each month, 6:00 pm): Our local chapter of the Virginia WCG program is dedicated to service ministries and support of missionary activities. Watch the calendar for associated special events.
- Women's Bible Study (Wednesday 1:00, Ed. Building): An intimate weekly study and discussion of scripture and sharing and pray for the spritual needs of women, led by Ginny Day.
